Our team recently assisted Newport customers in replacing their open wood fireplace with a new, more efficient gas fireplace. During the site visit, we measured the cavity and determined which gas fireplace would best suit the existing fireplace opening. Alexandra also checked the power and gas outlets at the house and confirmed the best alternative to run the necessary connections inside the cavity through a video call with Scott Cooper from Specialist Gas Fireplaces Services.
The roof termination was also checked and discovered that a small metal flue termination was present, which could be adapted to suit the Lopi DVL vertical flue termination. The installer confirmed that the Lopi DVL was the best option to heat the area and suit the cavity’s dimensions, and a custom panel was added to cover the gap and finish the fireplace neatly.
The Lopi DVL Gas Insert Fireplace can heat up to 180sqm, with a realistic flames effect that can be adjusted.
